Chamomile, Turmeric and Honey Tea

This chamomile, turmeric and honey tea is the perfect way to start your day. With it’s suggested anti-inflammatory properties, turmeric will help kick that morning stiffness to the curb. Honey offers a mild energy boost and sweetness with chamomile and cinnamon rounding out the flavors. It seems black pepper helps make the turmeric more efficient so while that seems random, it’s there for a reason.

Ingredients

  • 8 Cups Water
  • 1 Chamomile Teabag
  • 2 tsp Turmeric, ground
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon, ground
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1/4 tsp Whole Peppercorns

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil.
  2. Add teabag, turmeric, cinnamon, honey and peppercorns. Stir well.
  3. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes
  4. Strain tea through cheesecloth to reduce the grittiness.
  5. Sip and Savor!
